Fisher chatted with Ucles about what animal welfare means on Aussie cattle feedlots. Ucles also met with Andrew and Tess Herbert, the owners of Gundamain Feedlot. The Herbert family has been farming at Eugowra, near Orange, for more than 150 years. They built Gundamain Feedlot about 10 years ago, based on the designs of renowned US animal behaviourist Temple Grandin. The design is centred on reducing stress for the cattle in the feedlot.
